SHDS Training Program
3-Day Scientific Beekeeping Training Programme organised at KVK Gumla
Krishi Vigyan Kendra Gumla, Vikas Bharti Bishunpur, in collaboration with the District Horticulture Department, Gumla, successfully organized a 3-Day Scientific Beekeeping Training Programme from 27 to 29 July 2026 under the State Horticulture Development Scheme – Beekeeping Component.
About the Training
The training programme aimed to enhance the technical knowledge and practical skills of participants in scientific beekeeping. The sessions covered bee colony management, seasonal management, honey harvesting, processing, value addition, and marketing, along with hands-on practical demonstrations.
The valedictory session was graced by the District Horticulture Officer, Gumla and Joint Secretary Vikas Bharti Bishunpur they encouraged all the participants to adopt scientific beekeeping as a sustainable livelihood enterprise for enhancing farmers’ income. On the occasion, certificates were distributed to all 32 participants in recognition of their successful completion of the training programme.
